Why working conditions matter
Adhesive doesn't dry — it cures. Cyanoacrylate reacts with moisture in the air, so your room humidity directly determines whether 0.5 seconds really stays 0.5 seconds.
When humidity exceeds the optimal level, the adhesive cures noticeably faster — shock curing occurs, the lash sticks in the wrong place, and retention drops. When humidity drops below 30%, curing slows down, lashes slide around and stick together.
That's why the hygrometer must sit right on your work table, not on a windowsill across the room. Humidity within the same room can vary by 5–10% depending on airflow and distance from windows.
Working in a more humid room? Replace your glue drop more frequently. It skins over faster than you can notice.
